Tropicana Community Services Camp (TCS) has been running for 37 years. TCS was founded by Robert Brown, in which he had the assistance with immigrants from the Carribean. The name “Tropicana” originated from the word tropical (“tropi-) and “-cana” from Canada, forming the name Tropicana.
Tropicana believes in creating a recreational program, while integrating education in their activities. Camp is more than playing games and doing arts and crafts, the camp also provides a STEM (Science, Technology, English, and Math) program. Campers experience fun-filled days of playing sports and doing arts and crafts. Tropicana also takes kids on weekly trips, which ranges from swimming to watching movies.
Tropicana focuses on different themes each week with their games and activities. The camp also gives campers to express themselves in various forms of art like visual arts, drama, and dance. Tropicana also allows the campers to express themselves through show and tells, and talent shows. Every day is a new and high energy day at this camp, the children leave each day eager to come back for more.
