TCE’s Sherwood summer camp takes place at St. Monica Catholic Secondary School. TCE (The Child Experience) is a non-profit summer camp organization dedicated to creating fun, active, and memorable experiences for kids across Toronto. At locations like the Sherwood camp, TCE offers a six-week program packed with exciting indoor and outdoor activities from arts and crafts to sports, drama, and team-building games. Campers have the chance to explore their creativity, stay active, and build strong friendships, within their community. Each day is a new adventure, helping every child grow, connect, and make the most of their summer!
A typical day at Sherwood includes scheduled activities like art, playground sports, and drama, all organized by group rotations. On the photographed day, the kids took part in all the planned activities and had fun with their friends and camp counsellors. In the early afternoon, they walked to a nearby park, where they explored the playground and splashed around in the splash pad before returning to camp for more fun and lastly pickup.
It is a weekly routine for Sherwood campers to walk to the nearby park as a fun break from their usual camp activities. The children wear bright yellow vests to stay safe and visible to their counselors.
With the support of dedicated teenage camp counselors, TCE creates a safe and enjoyable environment for all the children in the community.
