Hoop House Basketball is an organization founded by Michael Dmitrik. This camp focuses on the fundamentals of basketball, while incorporating the excitement of summer. The camp is located at St. Timothy’s Catholic School, and runs from the beginning of July to mid-August.
A regular day at Hoop House Basketball is very active and high-energy. It starts off with with stretching and right away proceeds to various drills that would occur in real game situation. Afterwards, they scrimmage, head off to lunch and play everyone’s favourite, a game of dodgeball. The kids then learn the “basketball lesson of the day,” an important concept used in basketball and in real life.
Hoop House Basketball allows the FOY staff to share their high energy and positive spirit, and the campers send back positive vibes in return.
