FOY camp at Blessed Giorgio Frassati Catholic School is one of three camps associated with the Focus On Youth program.
The Focus on Youth Summer Camp at Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Catholic School is a six-week program that provides children with a fun, safe, and engaging summer experience. Located in the Morningside Heights area of Scarborough, the camp welcomes children in Grades 1-7. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, STEM (Science, Technologie, Engineering, and Mathematics), games, leadership activities, and weekly themed events. The program is designed to help children build confidence, develop teamwork and communication skills, make new friends, and stay active while enjoying a memorable summer in a positive and supportive environment.
6 WEEKS AT FRASSATI
WEEK 1
The week 1 of the Focus On Youth program was an exciting start to camp as campers met their counsellors, made new friends, and settled into their groups. They participated in a variety of fun activities, team-building games, and creative challenges that helped everyone feel welcome and included. By the end of the week, campers had already built new friendships and were looking forward to everything the rest of the summer had for them.
WEEK 2
Week 2 was filled with exciting experiences both inside and outside the camp. Campers enjoyed a fun trip to the movie theatre, where they watched Minions, sharing lots of laughs together. Throughout the week, they also stayed active with games and sports in the gym while continuing to learn and grow during engaging classroom activities.
WEEK 3
Week 3 at Frassati Camp was packed with fun, movement, and teamwork. Campers enjoyed an exciting bowling trip, participated in relaxing yoga sessions, and took part in a variety of interactive games. One of the highlights was playing with the colorful rainbow parachute, where everyone worked together by holding the edges to create waves and lift it high enough to make a “parachute tent” for campers to gather underneath.
WEEK 4
Week 4 brought even more excitement as campers enjoyed an action-packed trip to Epic Planet Fun, where they spent the day exploring attractions and making unforgettable memories with their friends. They also took part in an interactive DJ workshop With Coach Rich by making the campers, learn the basics of mixing music and getting the chance to create and showcase their own mixes. It was a week full of creativity, confidence, and plenty of fun.
WEEK 5
Week 5 brought one of the most exciting events of the Focus On Youth Summer Sports Day! Campers showed off their teamwork, energy, and sportsmanship while taking part in a variety of fun activities, including counsellor races, Capture the Bean Bag, ball toss, golf ball knockout, castle games, and many more. It was a week full of friendly competition, laughter, and unforgettable memories as everyone gave their best and cheered each other on.
WEEK 6
The final week of summer camp ended on a high note with an exciting Carnival Day to celebrate an amazing six weeks together. Campers enjoyed face painting, a jumping castle, carnival games, treats, and many other fun activities as they celebrated the friendships and memories they had made throughout the summer. We hope every camper enjoyed each week of camp and leaves with unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime. Thank you to all the campers, families, and staff for making this summer such a memorable one.
FOY STAFF
The camp counsellors were responsible for creating a positive, safe, and welcoming environment where every camper felt included and encouraged to participate. They planned and led a variety of daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, STEM challenges, team-building games, and special themed events. Throughout the summer, the counsellors served as positive role models by promoting teamwork, respect, responsibility, and kindness. They also ensured the safety and well-being of all campers, helped resolve conflicts, encouraged friendships, and supported children in building confidence and developing new skills. Their Enthusiasm, Energy, Effort and dedication played a key role in creating a fun, memorable, and rewarding summer experience for every camper.
