The Saint Andrew Summer Camp is a non-profit organization which strives to gain attention for its community by giving the youth many opportunities which will will assist them with growth, determination and understanding. This summer camp will permit each camper to see how beneficial he or she is to the world. In fact, it will make them relate significantly to the world we live in today by using their effectiveness based on their participation and communication skills. .

The St.Andrew Summer Camp was established approximately nine years ago with the help of the parish of St. Andrew. It has been thriving ever since, especially due to the assistance of the church family and parents. This summer camp has been seen as a “summer home” for the youth in the Rexdale community, specifically Kipling.

The theme of this year’s activities is family. This theme was chosen because family is the backbone and the root of an individual’s spiritual and mental growth. A family is a person’s moral support and so, the Catholic community enforces the relevance of family. Most importantly, another influential theme that will be discussed is the neighbourhood. This theme was chosen because the campers should be educated about the benefits of lending a helping hand and making a difference in their world.

The staff at this camp are extremely encouraging, motivating and loving. They co-operate with each other as best as possible, so as to strengthen their communication skills and demonstrate leadership qualities to the campers.
