PROFILE: St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre (D’Arcy McGee School)

The St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre Camp provides a supervised camp environment for children ages 4 to 12 years old. The camp offers recreational activities in an inclusive environment. Following in the foot-steps of God, the centre shares and celebrates in its motto: “We can live as one!”

The camp offers a safe place for campers to have free time to play games and socialize with each other and student mentors such as the FOY staff. Campers have arts and craft sessions as well as science and discovery lessons.

Table Top Charades

In terms of arts, kids have the chance to discover their forte through music and drama activities and also try a variety of sports. Group activities and games are also frequent in addition to field trips and especially, swimming trips.

The staff at the St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre love their jobs as mentors and role models to the youth. Centered around catholic morals, the staff and campers at St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre allow themselves to teach, learn, and grow through the teachings of Christ.
