Profile: North Region Basketball: St. John the Evangelist

North Region Basketball Association was started in 2000 by two school teachers in North York. At that time, quality basketball was not easily accessible to youth in North York. Our first season in 2000 consisted of 9 girls and 9 boys, playing 3 on 3 with an instructional component.

North Region Basketball Association encourages kids in the summer that nothing to do, to come to try out and gain some basketballs skills and experiences they might need if they want to pursue the career. For the last couple of summers, they have been taking kids off the streets and registering them for camps. The program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays for children age 10 and above from 1-3pm.
