PROFILE: BGC West Scarborough (Courcelette)

BGC West Scarborough is part of BGC Canada. The mission of all Boys and Girls Clubs in Canada is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

This summer, BGC West Scarborough is offering camps across the city. These areas are distinct from Birchmount, North Scarborough, and West Scarborough. The program is available at the Courcelette site for kids ages 4 to 12 for a total of 8 weeks. These summer camps are offered in the target communities to enable children who don’t often have access to after-school activities the chance to socialize with their peers within the community.

BGC encourages all kids and young people to find their passions, follow them, and grow up to be happy, successful adults who contribute to society. The five guiding principles of BGC include belonging, respect, encouragement and support, working together, and speaking out.
