Toronto Community Housing (TCH), the largest social housing provider in Canada, runs a variety of youth programs, including the Rookie League. This summer-long baseball day camp, tailored for children ages 6-12, emphasizes and encourages child development while also nurturing teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. The Rookie League plays an important role in TCH’s mission to build stronger communities and support the growth of its young residents. And, this year, in-person camps are being held in 15 TCHC communities, including the amazing TCH Mabelle!
At TCH Mabelle, it’s clear that these campers count on these fantastic camp counsellors to help them make their summer unforgettable! With an endless lineup of engaging and energetic games like soccer, musical chairs, and even “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and CUP,” you’ll always see these kids constantly having a blast and creating long lasting memories!
With their energy levels still sky-high, the campers and counsellors at TCH Mabelle decided it was time to hit the dance floor and show off their camp’s spirit! Before breaking for lunch, they had an absolute blast dancing to their favourite tunes and practicing their camp’s cheer alongside their wonderful counsellors, filling the room with pure excitement and joy!
