PROFILE: FOY Central Leadership 2024

Central Leadership is a team full of amazing individuals and some of this year’s strongest leaders.

They spent each day planning, designing and executing their signature “Central Takeovers,” at our various Footsteps camps located at Father Henry Carr, Saint Martin De Porres, and Blessed Pierre Giorgio Frassati.

The team lead our campers through fun activities, unique and often comical morning energizers, ending with the cherry on top of their Central Takeovers during their closing ceremonies. Wherever you found them, whether it be planning their week, during their mind, body, and spirit rotations, entertaining campers, or making hilarious social media content, you could always count on Central Leadership to come up with something new, fresh and original every week.

This year, Central Leadership was split into two teams throughout the East and West, allowing them to visit their camps more frequently, bond with campers and counsellors alike and prepare for their Central Takeovers more effectively.

Meet your 2024 Central Leadership Team!

Alongside visiting our Footsteps camps every week, Central Leadership had lots of fun creating videos and picture content to post on social media, summarizing their visits and the impact they make every single week! Take a look at the video below to what Central was up to this summer!

To conclude, throughout the past 6 weeks at camp, it is clear to see that Central Leadership grew together as a tight-knit family, forming connections like no other, in love and leadership. It is organizations like Focus on Youth that act as a vehicle for building lifelong friendships, and becoming lifelong leaders.
