At Focus on Youth, campers are offered free tutoring sessions for students in grades 1-8, aiding them improve their skills in a variety of subjects, including math, the sciences, English and French. Each session is focused on one subject, and students are offered classes that last an hour to engage in one-on-one conversation with a tutor. With locations at both Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and Monsignor Percy Johnson, students are offered the best of both worlds in learning and having the best summer.

At Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, tutors begin the day with counsellors, and welcome their kids as they move into their activities for the day, with one activity being tutoring for select campers. Each tutor takes on about 3-4 students each day, and are able to meet with a variety of campers as they move through rotations throughout the day. While some campers spend time in FOY camps taking part in other rotations, some tutees solely attend tutoring sessions. In the hour, tutors are able to help students learn by focusing on a specific subject, encouraging them, and providing them with a safe space for them to grow their understanding through interactive games, slideshows, and creative icebreakers that help them feel more comfortable with education.

Every tutor plays a significant role in developing the minds of campers and are very vital to the Focus on Youth program.
