The Child Experience (TCE) summer camps offer programs to keep children engaged and active throughout the summer. Founded 4 short years ago by Anthony Tacoma, the program now has 10 different locations!

This six-week program runs from June 29th – August 7th from 9am to 3:30pm, giving campers a whole fun-filled day of camp activities which are focused around the arts, drama, sports, and crafts. Three activities are planned every morning, based on age range, where campers can rotate from activities planned in one of these focus activity areas (for example, playing team building activities in drama class or getting active in the gym). They also go on trips around the community on a weekly basis, giving campers the ultimate camp experience of the summer!

Being a non-profit based program, TCE stays committed to keeping camp registration costs low to ensure a great and accessible camp experience for children. Their program allows campers to not only to have an enjoyable summer, but the opportunity to make friends, play and grow positively through a variety of fun activities and make life-long memories. “We try to bring a positive and supportive camp environment,” says Claudia Cimini, camp supervisor at Derrydown St. Wilfrid’s TCE location.

TCE’s partnership with the Focus on Youth program allows several high school student staff to bring their enthusiasm and various talents to the camp environment. They help ensure that every minute spent at camp is never a dull moment!
