The Central Neighbourhood House Foundation is an institute that caters for the needs of the community. This organization strives to give back by developing programs and activities that offer assistance to each neighbour.

The Central Neighbourhood House was founded in 1911, and is now recorded as one of the oldest buildings in Toronto. This foundation is the home of the Central Neighbourhood House Summer Camp which is held annually at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

This program emphasizes the teachings of creativity and self love. Using arts and crafts and activities, the children are able to express who they are. By creating a safe place to be themselves, the children are able to grow in a positive environment, free of judgement.

Campers enjoying Art and Crafts

The staff at the Central Neighbourhood House are specifically trained to work individually with each camper, so to build an exceptional relationship with them throughout the summer. Because of the staff’s passion and love, it is evident as many of the campers already do not want the summer to end; they love the vibrant energy from the FOY staff.
