Located at St. Barnabas CES, 30 Washburn Way, campers can be seen having fun at the Tropicana Community Services (TCS) camp. Tropicana Community Services was founded by Robert Brown approximately 37 years ago. He had the assistance with those who were immigrating from the Caribbean. The company’s name was formed from “tropi-” in Tropical and “-cana” from Canada, making the known name of Tropicana.

Here at TCS, they believe that summer camp is not all recreational and that they should incorporate education in their programs while also having fun. It is more than physical activities and arts and crafts. The camp teaches their kids according to the STEM (Science, Technology, English, and Math) program. Here they teach kids essential skills and exercise their brains so that they are ready to excel in their classes in the fall. In addition to their education component, they offer sports and arts and crafts. They also go to weekly trips which range from watching a movie at the cinemas to having fun at the splash pad.

Every week spent with Tropicana Community Services is filled with fun and excitement. Camp does not only focus on one main theme but instead changes it up and has a different one each week. TCS provides an amazing experience through its philosophy based on education and entertainment, as well as the welcoming staff ready to greet every camper.
