PROFILE: TCE Caledonia

TCE, The Child Experience, at the Caledonia camp location, is one of the many camps run by TCE as a non-profit organization across Toronto. TCE ensures children have a memorable and enjoyable summer experience through outdoor and indoor activities, as well as trips. Offering a six-week camp experience full of laughs and smiles, TCE engages children through various activities that encourage growth and learning while fostering a sense of community. Each day is filled with activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and drama, with additional trips that excite campers to explore new worlds and create stronger connections. Ensuring a great summer experience for every camper through various activities is essential to creating a positive community at every TCE camp!

On this special day, campers were able to explore the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum), expanding their curiosities. Campers had the opportunity to observe, learn, and engage with the extraordinary sections of the museum. From dinosaur skeletons to art galleries, all campers found themselves amazed at the available artifacts, each exploring their interests through curiosity. Campers also enjoyed their lunch and snacks, discussing their favorite parts of the museum. This museum visit encouraged campers to expand their imaginations, understanding, and find new interests!

Throughout the trip, camp counselors ensured a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all campers. They successfully ensured a controlled crowd while allowing exploration and engagement for campers to have a great time at the museum. The highlight of the trip was when campers entered the Bat Cave, where they immersed themselves into a new world of excitement. The cave’s environment introduced campers to a new reality to enjoy and explore the textures and structure of a real bat cave. As they explored many sections of the museum, campers learned new concepts, creating an unforgettable summer experience!

TCE Caledonia’s FOY staff accompanied and guided campers through the museum, ensuring each camper explored everything they looked forward to, leaving no one behind! The dedication to providing campers a safe and enjoyable summer time is essential for the FOY staff. In our video recap, the care of our FOY staff can be seen as they create a positive environment for every camper’s satisfaction and joy!
