San Romanoway’s Summer Day Camp is run by the San Romanoway Revitalization Association (SRRA). It’s located in the heart of the Jane-Finch community. The camp is open to kids ages 5 to 12, with a variety of fun and engaging activities that make the camp a fun experience. The program is led by caring staff and volunteers including the FOY student hires. At San Romanoway’s Summer Day Camp kids can feel safe and loved all summer.

There are two separate camp groups, one located at 10 San Romanoway and the other at 15 San Romanoway. Outdoors, the camp uses shared spaces including a basketball court, a small playground, and a tennis court where campers are taught the basics of tennis and stay active with group games. They share the outdoor spaces through a rotating schedule. While one group is outside at the playground or basketball court, the other is either indoors or at the tennis court, and they switch throughout the day. Indoors, the campers enjoy other activities like arts and crafts, science experiments, or group games organized by their camp counsellors, that build teamwork and communication.
What makes San Romanoway’s Summer Day Camp special is the positive and welcoming environment. FOY student hires, volunteers, and supervisors help run activities, guide campers, and make sure everyone feels included. Whether it’s helping with a game or just checking in, the staff do their best to make camp a fun and safe place for everyone.
