PROFILE: St. Timothy (Footsteps To Success)

Footsteps to Success is being hosted this year at three different schools. Founded by Andre Fullerton and community partners, Footsteps to Success was created to get youth more involved and to help urban communities move forward. Footsteps to Success is offered to children ages 4 to 13 from July 2nd to August 8th.

It is always a fun day at St. Timothy’s Footsteps to Success! With Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Sports, and Leadership rotations and disciplines, campers spend every day of camp strengthening their skills with exciting activities. From active games to creative crafts to fun field trips, St. Timothy’s Footsteps to Success campers are always engaging in learning.

Campers begin their day at 9am by signing in and starting their day off with the morning energizer, where they are welcomed by camp counsellors and provided breakfast. Next, campers enter into their groups and begin their first rotation out of four. In these rotations, camp counsellors focus on different disciplines: Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Sports, and Leadership. These daily rotations encourage new learning, develop a sense of identity, and bring positive energy to the summer.

Every week, campers enjoy field trips! Once a week, campers and camp counsellors experience fun-filled activities. From becoming dragon tamers after watching How to Train Your Dragon to putting hole-in-ones at Putting Edge to becoming bowling masters, there is never a dull moment with Footsteps to Success with St. Timothy! Campers are always filled with excitement to explore new adventures, break through barriers, and make new memories!

Footsteps to Success at St. Timothy’s would not be possible without Focus On Youth’s incredible camp counsellors! All camp counsellors bring talent and care to the table, coming together as a team to play an integral role in shaping the campers’ day. Each and everyday, our camp counsellors put in 1000% energy and dedication to this role—from sign-in to dismissal—to provide a remarkable summer for all.
