The Focus on Youth custodial team at St. Boniface plays an essential role in preparing the school for campers, counsellors, and staff. Their work helps create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy their summer activities.
The custodial team works hard to make sure the school remains a positive environment for everyone. While campers are busy participating in games, activities, and other programs, custodial staff continue working in the background to maintain the spaces they use. Their attention to detail and commitment to keeping the school clean contribute to a better experience for the entire camp community.
The custodians at St. Boniface really enjoy their day while working at the camp because they get to learn new skills everyday about maintenance through cleaning and maintaining a safe environment. A typical day at St. Boniface starts at 8:30AM, where our custodians wait for their site supervisor to give them their schedule for the day. During the day at the camp, Nathaniel and Justin focuses on cleaning the windows, sweeping the floors, moving desks or tables to their normal places. Both custodians chose FOY because they wanted to be a role model in their lives and be a better leader for their future.
The work of the custodial team at St. Boniface is an important part of the Focus on Youth program. Their dedication, teamwork, and hard work help create a safe and welcoming space where campers can enjoy their summer. Even though their work often takes place behind the scenes, their contribution can be seen throughout the school and is greatly valued by the Focus on Youth community.
