On July 29th, 2026 our three Focus on Youth Camps gathered together as a big FOY Community for our annual Sports Day! This year, Sports Day was hosted at Monsignor Percy Johnson from 10AM-2PM.
Our campers from FOY Camp St. Timothy and FOY Camp Frassati had a little journey from the east to the west! Dressed in red, yellow, and blue, our campers had some spirit to share with everyone.
To kickoff Sports Day, opening ceremonies were hosted by Program Coordinator Michael Consul and Mikey Mic, energizing our campers and counsellors! Our three camps lit up their competitive spirit and were then sent off to their rotation activities.
Rotations activities for our campers included Ball Toss, Obstacle Courses, Crab Walk Relay, Potato Sack Race, Relay Race, Knockout Castle, and Capture the Bean Bag! Participating in some friendly competition; our campers and counsellors had their hearts racing through the gym and field.
For lunch, our campers and counsellors were served hot dogs prepared specially by our adult and tutoring staff. After lunch they gathered on the field to watch the Counsellor vs Counsellor relay race, ending in FOY Camp Frassati’s win!
Gathering inside; our three camps faced each other in a cheer off. Lastly for our tiebreaker game, a basketball shootoff featuring campers, counsellors, and adult staff commenced, with the winner of Sports Day 2026 announced as FOY Camp MPJ!
On the way out from MPJ, our campers were rewarded with a cold treat to cool them down on the way back to their home camps. What an incredible Sports Day filled with sportsmanship, fun games, and forever memories!
