The Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club is a renowned organization founded in 1958 and has been an essential community resource successfully providing positive alternatives to anti-social activities, crime and substance abuse for neighborhood children and youth.

Their vision is that all children and youth discover and achieve their dreams and are healthy, successful and active participants in society.

For over seven years, Focus on Youth has been in partnership with Dovercourt Boys and Girls club. The reason being because it benefits the students and also the cap. camp. The students get a good skill and job development but also the kids get to see good role models in action.

Campers enjoy low-organized games and activities in the gymnasium and at outdoor facilities. They also have the opportunity to go on excursions to the park and various other fun places!

The Focus on Youth staff have had an incredible time working at the Boys and Girls club.

“I’ve grown to not only understand my campers but also love them,” one of the staff members said. “The memories I’ve made here this summer will never be forgotten”.
