PROFILE: Monsignor Fraser Recognize for Real

Monsignor Fraser Recognize for Real offers two different programs that satisfy youths’ passion and interests. They have a program for kids interested in music and basketball. Recognize for Real is offered to kids who want to pursue their creative intellects and physical talents.

The program for musical fitness is offered for kids ages 4-9 and runs for six weeks. In the morning, they have free play where they can play different activities as a group. They then have dance fitness program on some days, swim at a local pool or play at the local park. After lunch, campers have another dance fitness program.

The program for basketball is offered for kids ages 8-15 and runs for six weeks. In the morning, they have free play with the other group to play activities. After separated from the other group, the kids practice their basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting. After lunch, kids would practice as a team by basketball scrimmage. On other days they same with the other group, have a basketball game or play sports such as baseball, soccer, football and many other sports.

Recognize for Real keeps the youth in the community engaged during the summer through the exciting programs they offer. Kids definitely create wonderful memories with the new friends they made and practice the skills they already have or learn new things at camp. On other days, kids go on trips such as the Pan Am Games. Recognize for Real allows the kids to have an enjoyable summer filled with hopes and long lasting memories.
