PROFILE: Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club (St. Anthony)

Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club offers after school programs, evening programs, and camps for children and youth ages 4 to 17. Whatever hobby, sport, or passion your child is chasing, they have a place at Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club. Dovercourt’s vision is that all children and youth discover and achieve their dreams and are healthy, successful and active participants in society.

Dovercourt aims to provide a safe and supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. Dovercourt’s 5 core values of: Respect, Belonging, Encouragement and Support, Working Together, and Speaking Out ensure that kids of all ages can develop friendships that will last a lifetime.

Respect means to strive to offer children and youth the opportunity that will enable them to overcome barriers and achieve their positive potential life. In Belonging, Dovercourt provides a safe, supportive place, where every child is listened to, respected and valued. Through Encouragement and Support, kids are encouraged to be life long learners and how they can benefit and grow from every challenge and obstacle they may encounter. Working Together involves working alongside families and volunteers to provide a healthy environment fostering positivity and confidence. Speaking Out means Dovercourt Boys and Girls speaks on behalf of the community that they will reduce disadvantages and enhance their lives and enable their voices and ideas to be heard.
