PROFILE: BGC West Scarborough (Fallingbrook)

BGC West Scarborough is run by the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre in coordination with the Boys and Girls Club. The organization offers recreational neighbourhood programs & services to youth and families in the West Scarborough area.

Happy campers completing activity worksheets on a rainy Tuesday morning!

A normal day at BGC Fallingbrook is packed with a fun schedule of different activities, all designed to keep the campers happy both inside and out of the building. The campers have a large yard and a playground at their disposal whenever their activity takes them there; granted that the sun is shining, of course.

Even on rainy days however, the counsellors entertain the campers with an upbeat playlist everyone can sing along to as they make slime out of glue and activator in plastic baggies. Many campers enjoyed choosing their slime’s colours — unsurprisingly, we saw a lot of bright blue and pastel pink! Some kids even took to running around the spacious gym while they patiently waited for their slime to be ready. All the while, the counsellors were helping everyone have a great time!

Featuring Fallingbrook’s FOY counsellor: Patience

In all, every day is a good day at BGC Fallingbrook thanks to the amazing counsellors and the awesome campers!
