St. Bernadette’s Family Resource offers a camp for children between the ages of 4-12. This family resource centre brings together children with developmental or physical disabilities such as Blindness, Autism, Down Syndrome, etc. with “able” children.

St. Bernadette’s gives their children a supervised environment for learning and fun while ensuring that all are safe while playing. The kids are in an inclusive spot as it allows for the abled kids and the physically/intellectually challenged peers to enjoy recreational activities.

Literacy is also important to the camp as they want the children to carry what they learned in their previous year of school into the next without forgetting throughout the summer. They accomplish this by making reading fun so the kids don’t feel like they’re learning but instead having simple fun.
