“Our main goal is to spread the love and grace of God to our campers,” commented Angie Carboni, St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre founder.

The St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centre was founded based on the values of Christian charities in 1991 by Angie Carboni. As a faith-based, diverse organization, they specialize in programs which enlighten the lives and develop the skills and potential of their campers and various participants. Their required age range varies from as young as 2 years of age to 12 years old. They not only run a daycare facility but also a summer camp for 4-12 year old children.
The environment the campers are flourished in, give them the opportunity of being in a family-like surrounding while being cared for by hardworking and compassionate counselors.
Their daily routine consists of varying activities set out to give their campers a fulfilling experience. Some days are spent at the camp site indulging in arts & crafts, dramatic arts, and playing different games. On other days, the campers are given the opportunity to go on rewarding trips such as; trip to the movies, Toronto Zoo, Swimming and Marine Land!
When asked the goal of their camp, a heartfelt answer by the organization founder was given, “The job of the staff here is not only to be the hands and feet of Christ but to make every child here feel as if they’re born with a mission” – Angie Carboni
During their interviews inquiring of their experience as Focus on Youth Workers at St. Bernadette’s, both Breanna and Chelsea had an immense amount of positive highlights about their current journey as St. Bernadette’s workers and roles as the hands of the feet of Christ.

“My favourite part of working at St. Bernadette’s, is coming to the camp every morning, seeing all their smiling faces and having them come up and hug you while they say your name. You just know that you have a special friendships with them”. – Breanna Focus on Youth Worker
