Profile: Seeds of Hope (St. Jane Frances)

Youth Unlimited is a faith-based organization that believes in the unlimited potential of the youth. It has been imparting God’s love, truth and hope for all young people regardless of age, race, gender or faith for more than 70 years. Seeds of Hope summer day camp is a Christian based camp as their goal is to reach out and help the Jane & Finch community.

Founded in 2005 by Benjamin Osei, the Seeds of Hope summer day camp opens a new learning opportunity each day for the kids as they are encouraged to be leaders and responsible youth. Their 4 main attributes are physical, social, academic and most importantly, spiritual, which allows the campers to be prepared for the outside world.

Fun activities in the camp include bible stories, sports, arts (singing, dance, crafts), and academic time. Every week a thrilling and exciting trip is planned, such as Wet n’ Wild, Ontario Place, The ROM, Toronto Islands, picnics, swimming, and many more. During the six-week program, the kids elect a representative to be their voice. For instance, this gives them an opportunity to choose activities during the summer camp. This allows them to experience an adventurous summer with a new foundation in Christ by the time school comes around!
